There is play.  And then there is Purposeful Play.  That's how children learn at Sugar Plums.

Purposeful Play is a powerful, evidence-based early education philosophy that puts children at the center of their learning experience.  It is fundamentally rooted in the idea that learning can and should happen through exploration, investigation, and engagement.  It leaves space for children to discover, to dig-in and to connect the dots.  (And to find the joy and celebrate their findings!)  It places teachers as guides, helping children uncover the secrets of the world around them.  And most importantly, it fosters a lifelong love of learning.

What Is Purposeful Play?

Our Programs

Infants

From 6 weeks to 18 months old

Your little one starts their playful learning journey with Sugar Plums with a mindful transition from their home to our home,  exploring the world around them with guided play.

Toddlers

From 18 months to 2 years old

Beyond running, jumping and climbing, your toddler will begin to acquire fine motor skills, speech skills, and critical social & emotional skills like learning to play with others, taking turns, and sharing. 

Preschool

From 2 years to 3 years old

Our preschooler's are explorers and our teachers are their guides, helping to encourage your child's curiosity and passion for learning.

From 3 years to 5 years old

Children get ready for formal school, focusing on teaching literary and language skills, math skills, and building critical social and emotional skills.
